Recently the director has revealed that Kismath starring Shane Nigam and Shruthy Menon is made out of a true life story. Those who came to know about the story was pained as it was tragic. The story of Kismath has been made out of an incident that happened in 2011. The director of Kismath Shanavas K Bavakutty used to be a Municipal Councillor of Ponnani back then and he met a couple in the police station one day coincidentally. The boy was 23 year old and belonged to Muslim faith mean while the girl was 28 year who belonged to SC community. Both of them faced stiff opposition because of the religion as well as the age difference and due to this they came to an decision that they will part for the time being and will reunite when time comes. As days passed to her shock she came to know that the love of her life has committed suicide. The girl at present is working Kerala State Literacy Mission in Ponnani. Director Kismath Shanavas K Bavakutty said that Kismath is a tribute to their love and is a apology to the couple as he could not help them that time.
